YORE:
Trombonist Garchik lucidly dreams of the destroyed works of Paul Dukas, Max Roach's vocal writing, Toru Takemitsu's secret big band charts, and Alban Berg's abandoned plan to write a "Hassidic" opera of the Dybbuk. To recreate the dream he has assembled a gifted group of interpreters/improvisers:
Judith Berkson, voice; Mary Halvorson, guitar; Johnny McLellan, drums; Oscar Noriega, clarinets; Jacob Garchik, trombone and compositions.
I-Beam Music, 168 7th Street b/t 2nd and 3rd Ave, Gowanus, Brooklyn
